Dans le cadre de nos activités associatives de promotion du libre, nous essayons de répondre aux questions qui nous sont posées.
Mais lorsque ces questions ou demandes sortent du cadre de nos activités (nous ne vendons pas de matériel informatique par exemple), nous pouvons orienter les personnes vers des acteurs locaux.
En regardant de plus prêt, beaucoup de structures utilisent des outils libres, parfois en font même la promotion mais ne sont pas identifiées comme tel, ou ont une démarche similaire (comme le partage des savoirs).
Voilà pourquoi nous avons souhaité mettre un place un site regroupant les différents acteurs du libre : les associations bien évidemment, mais aussi les entreprises qui travaillent dans le domaine du libre (prouvant par la même occasion qu'il existe une économie du logiciel libre).
L'association CLICC (Culture Libre & Créations Collectives) est présente sur le département Indre-et-Loire. Lors du salon annuel de promotion du libre organisé chaque année depuis 2006 à Tours, nous invitons toujours les acteurs du libre et amis des départements voisins. Voilà pourquoi le périmètre géographique de cet annuaire porte sur la région Centre, et quelques départements voisins.
